1. Teaching wears me out like nothing else, but is totally worth it. I usually get to school between 7 and 8 am and often get home between 7 and 9 at night. I have 27 very needy kids, but they are all priceless and I adore them!

2. I love shopping online. This habit developed because we don't have a car, but I do thoroughly enjoy buying things at the click of a button. The only problem I'm running into now is that I'm never home to sign for the packages :-( Therefore it usually takes 2-3 attempts to finally get a package.

3. I have a slight obsession with buying children's books. I have a lot. But that's okay because I'm a teacher, and eventually a few years down the road I'll be a parent. I always had books growing up and I think it's sad that so many of my students don't have any books at home (they may have a nice car, a wii, or a bigscreen tv, but no books, crayons, or pencils). My kids will always have plenty of books! I plan on having a library in our future home. I hope my kids will get as excited as I do every time a bookorder comes in. Well, maybe not quite as excited, unless we're making lots of money :-) Scholastic gets lots of my money!

4. I love pictures....a lot. Sometimes I'm too embarrassed to suggest we take pictures, because I tend to go overboard (ask my friends that went to Disneyworld with me in high school....although they didn't mind as much after the trip was over!). I love looking at pictures and remembering good times. I like to have pictures displayed everywhere. Our condo has many picture frames and I also have many photobooks to keep important events organized.

5. Holidays make me happy. I'm not sure why, but I love decorating and celebrating holidays...all of them. I have tubs of decorations for each holiday, including Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day. I'm not going to lie I've already thought about Halloween coming up and considered starting to go through my several tubs dedicated to that fabulous holiday. I think Halloween and Christmas are tied as far as my joy of decorating goes. I have accumulated many decoration thanks to loving sisters and after season sales. I am set!

6. I love technology. I love playing around on computers. I used to make PowerPoints for fun when I was little! I can design some pretty cool things on Microsoft Office, if I do say so myself! That love actually helped me get my job. My principal is way into technology and said he could tell from the design of my resume that I was good with computers. Righto! I'm not perfect, but I usually have the patience to play around with things until they look pretty darn good. This summer I taught myself to use Photoshop more effectively and with the use of a tablet can do some pretty cool things! Over the summer our school got rid of their Smartboards and replaced them with Promethean Boards (both are interactive whiteboards, the Promethean is just better designed for classroom use). So currently I'm learning to use that. I love it! I've caught onto it pretty quick and have done some pretty cool lessons that the kids absolutely love!!
