We've had house guests for about the last month (minus a few days) and have been so happy to be around family and friends. Jessie stayed with us for a while and then my dad came in town. This last Wednesday we were lucky enough to have Martin, Trish, and Daniel come down from Idaho to celebrate Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving day Trish and I cooked all the traditional Thanksgiving food we could think of. We did a turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, corn, fruit salad, yam casserole, lots of stuffing, rolls, carrots, and sparkling cider. I think we did a pretty good job for making our first Thanksgiving dinner. We also had pumpkin pie and an apple pie (although we had to save them for the next day because we were so full). Here are some pictures of us preparing and showing off the food:
The day after Thanksgiving we got up at 3:30am and set off for Black Friday sales. Jirik got some movies and I got some clothes from Gap and Downeast, plus some nice smelling body wash from Bath & Body Works. It was fun to go and not too overly chaotic. I was especially excited about the clothes deals :-)
While we had family together we also wanted to take some pictures. We set the camera on a timer and got some some fun pictures!
